One time only showing of: Stir of Echos
Review by: Strausser

With a movie staring Kevin Bacon, it is hard to turn down. Many people did not like this film (as you could see if you go to the Internet Movie DataBase), but I liked it. I am always up for a new Bacon flick, and this one left me pleased. It is about a man and his family, wife (played by Kathryn Erbe) and son Jake (played byZachery David Cope, who I feel was the star of the show). During the first few scenes of the movie, Bacon goes under hypnosis, in one of the best scenes in the movie. He then begins having visions that he can't understand. His son, who also has visions (although they are more clear to the little boy), and him begin talking about the meaning of what Bacon sees.

I won't ruin the movie for anybody who is going to see it, but Stir of Echos is chock-full of strangeness, even though the character of the wife tends to get on my nerves a little. How come there can't be more women like 'Xena' in every-day Hollywood pictures?

But if you like Kevin Bacon, and you like thrillers, then I suggest you check this movie out. It's not the Movie of the Year or anything, but I did think it was worth the seven seventy-five I spent on it. And the soundtrack is excellent. I think I am going to have to stop off at CD Now to get myself a new album.

This has been a Strausser Review. Thank you for coming, and we will see you After the Movies.
